Swing the Pendulum

Teachers and students today are forced into extrinsic motivation mode as the emphasis in schools continues to be on performance–standardized tests, closing the gap, grades, student growth. Somehow, we all need to be thinking about swinging that pendulum back the other way, back toward students and teachers who are intrinsically motivated.
